and on our fREE time.

on the days we DON't have "duty" at the clinic...we pack up and head to an aircon coffee shop :) The favourites are Bo's; Blugre (not so much after they discontinued their green chai tea, but i've heard they've now got vanilla chai, so it'll PRObably become a fav again); Basti's; Cups and Lowercase; Humps (mmm, peppermint latte); 51 japanese coffee shop; Brewedcastor; Nezz Cafe; Wiki-something (i forget cuz i've never actually bEEn to that one...).
the POINt is, this city is brimming with coffee shops, all with wifi, and good tea to drink! We can get a lOt done in an 8 hr day of just sitting there in a cafe doing homework with nOthing to distract except the internet, the good company of other classmates, other patrons, non-stop christmas music played throughout the place, the constant racket of blenders and coffee pots and... the waiters ;) ...just kidding! I hope everyone at home is wEll! It IS the rainy season for me now, and sometimes, around 3am, I get chilly enough nOt to turn off the fan, but to cover up with a sheet. Oh, to play in snow...

So now, Jenna, I get to see what my daughter does when she goes to a coffee shop! It hardly looks like any studying is going on there :( Wonder if I will get to see the inside of some of those places? I did talk to her at one about 24 hours ago now and the noise was something else. How DO you study with all that noise? Looking forward to meeting you in just three weeks! Lois's mom - or should that be Mom Lois?

Michelle, I was thinking the same thing - about being envious. I shouldn't be though, as I did have an incredible trip to the Phils last March - it just seems so long ago.

And to Lois's Mom - have a wonderful time with your daughter - and mine too!

Snow is suppose to be on the way tonight, so we'll see. it won't be prety though...probably really wet and messy, so don't get too jealous yet.
enjoy the rainy, 'cool' season!!
love you!

LOL! YEE...what fun.
First, to Mom Lois - that was the exact shop (and day) in which you talked to Lois, just a bit later...and, we actually dO get a lOt of 'stuff' done during those days (but also a lOt of friends&fellowship goes around too!)
And Michelle, it's not sO nice for eight hours, when you're butt starts hurting from the chair, your back from being hunched over your books, ANd your feet from the aircon (as we all had forgot SOCKs that day!)
:) - hi, again, mom!
And Christine!...these shops are EVERYthing compared to starbucks and timmies! haha, serious. People here just spend a lot of time in coffee shops, it's where most business mtgs go down and such. Just think of the QUALity of Starbucks, but with the space of timmies plUS couches and whatnot.. it's better. you ALL should come. ANyone who comes to the Phils, i'll GLADly take to any (and all) the coffee shops! :D

Are you kicking out the complications? I hope they are not kicking you. You're gonna be done with this monster before you know it! Snow schmow! You get to be cool without being freezing this year. Revel in it. ;-)
